Environmentalist, social activist, and author from Jowai, West Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya. He is an active member of NESFAS since 2013 who also played a crucial role in welcoming the international delegates to his native area Amlarem during ITM 2015.

 

 

Rikynti Syiem, Vice chairperson

Entrepreneur, custodian farmer and active member of PGS group from Khweng, Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya. She is also a skilled weaver and runs an enterprise-cum-training centre dealing with eri silk weaving.

Nestar Kharmawphlang

School teacher and farmer from Laitsohpliah, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya. He plays an active role in promoting Indigenous Food Systems within the school curriculum and the community. His works have been greatly appreciated by the local Block level administration in the Khatarshnong Laitkroh Block.

 

 

Ivan S Lyngdoh

Hailing from Shillong, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, he is the Technical Officer at the NEHU Data and Voice Network (NDVN) Facility.

 

 

 

 

Hendri G Momin

Entrepreneur, cook, and food innovator from Darechikgre, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya. He owns and runs the Aman A•song Café (Mei-Ramew Café) in Darechikgre, which specializes in using local ingredients and resources. He is also an active member of the cooks’ alliance network.

 

 


Hibi Suting

General Secretary of Women council of Umsawwar village, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya. Her willingness to support other members of the community has been greatly appreciated by the Village Council. She is also a strong advocator of school gardens.

Development consulting expert from Nagaland. He has over 28 years of multidisciplinary and multi-team experience in policy formulation for project development and implementation.
