Our first harvest of the winter batch of vegetables – cauliflowers and mustard leaves, were shared with the Mother Teresa Children Home, run by the Missionaries of Charity in Nongrimbah Road today. Smiling faces greeted us and our small gift was graciously received. Most of the children were having their evening tea but we did meet some of the little ones who enthusiastically thanked us.
The home which is over 25 years old, houses about 43 children as of today; many of the children have gone back home to their villages. 7 nuns and 7 staff help the everyday running of the institution..
