NESFAS asks Govt to hike farmers’ weekly income during Covid-19 shutdown

In a bid to help farmers’ during the nationwide pandemic shutdown to curb the spread of  the Coronavirus (Covid-19), NESFAS on Thursday sent a letter to the CMO of Meghalaya to help farmers during this crisis.

In the letter, NESFAS urged Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to increase the weekly income support of farmers from Rs 1,000 to at least Rs 1,500
