National Symposium on Tribal Development in NE India

The department of Sociology, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong, is hosting a National Symposium on Tribal Development in North East India. The event is being sponsored by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, under DRS-ASP (Phase -III)

Prof. P. Shukla, Vice Chancellor of NEHU has been proffered the honour of ‘Chief Guest’.

Mr. Phrang Roy is the chairperson of NESFAS. He will be giving a presentation at the event.

Mr. Phrang Roy, Retd. Assistant Vice President, IFAD, Rome and Chairperson of NESFAS, and Mr. Adrian Marbaniang, North-Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCOMP) will be speaking at the event.

The symposium is slated for the 14th of March, 2014 at the Science Centre Semiar Hall at 9.45 am.
