Khneng Embroidery Training Programme in Mustoh
The 2nd of March, 2021 observed a stepping stone in the expansion and furtherance of Mei-Ramew weaves in Meghalaya and the importance of having adequate and trained human resources to carry out the same. The NESFAS team ventured into the lush village of Mustoh to commence the training of ten individuals in the age-old artform of Khneng Embroidery. Continue reading

Under the current Rural Electrification Corporation Foundation (REC)-funded project “No One Shall Be Left Behind Initiative”, the North East Slow Food and Agrobiodiversity (NESFAS) has the goal of promoting indigenous food systems that will significantly contribute to improved nutrition, food security, and sustainable livelihoods. Eri-Weaves training concludes in Khweng (Ri-Bhoi District)
The North East Slow Food and Agrobiodiversity (NESFAS) team on December 4, 2020 concluded its three-month Eri Weaves Production training in Madanrtiang, Ri-Bhoi district. Altogether, there were 12 participants who took part in the programme.
